First Pentecostal Prayer of Faith Church - About

About Us

About the Bible
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. Read II Timothy 3:15-17.
About God
There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. Read Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.
About Sin & Salvation
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation  comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Read Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.

First Pentecostal Prayer of Faith (FPPF) is a United Pentecostal Church with over 25 years of service to Trenton, Hamilton, and the surrounding areas of central New Jersey.

At FPPF, we're just "one, big happy family". We're all in different stages of life; but we're all journeying towards the same goal - to be transformed by God's love, power, and grace. It means living differently, loving differently, and putting our trust in doing things God's way, instead of our own.

At FPPF, we pray, fast, read the Bible, and strive to live a life that is pleasing to God. We know faith, love, mercy, forgiveness, guidance, support, discipline, friendship, and fellowship are as essential as our necessities of food, shelter and clothing.

At FPPF, we know that we are human and make mistakes. So we humble ourselves, pray, seek God's face and repent of our sins. When we do, God promises to hear our prayers, forgive our sins and heal us, our families, our communities, our nation and our world.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  2 Chronicles 7:14

At FPPF, we endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit until we all come into the unity of the faith; while admonishing Christians that we should not contend for our different views to the disunity of the body of Christ.

At FPPF, our beliefs and lifestyles are based on scripture and biblical principles. We believe the Bible standard of salvation, which is repentance, baptism by immersion in water in the name of  Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance.

About the Gospel
The gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection). Read Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4; I Corinthians 15:1-4.
About Christian Living
As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today. Read Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10.
About the Future
Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death. Read I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15.
